Death is a practice as old as our existence as a species. We have known how to die for a long, long time. When we trust our inherited wisdom, we remember how to be with death in a meaningful way.

In our colonial and modern culture, we are encouraged to live our lives removed from death. It makes sense that for many of us, the first response to coming face to face with our mortality is denial - it is the story we’ve been conditioned to adopt despite what surrounds us.

We are intimately surrounded by death every day. Each exhale. The final note of a song. A leaf softening back into the soil. As an End of Life Steward, I support those moving closer to their final moments to reclaim our rightful knowing and come into the acceptance we have long been denied.

Through gentle and direct coaching, I offer support in navigating what needs tending. Perhaps there are conflicts or past harms that lack resolution. A person may need support imagining new ways to come to terms with something unfinished. I support people of all religious and spiritual beliefs. My goal is to make it possible for more people to transition out of this life with less emotional and spiritual weight. Some of the tools I use can include sound or Reiki healing. Following the transitioning person’s lead, I can get creative and see their visions for a good death come to fruition.
